Motherhood is filled with time discipling kids, yes of course, but I am actually referring more to self-discipline in my own life. It occurred to me today as I watched Sara finish her last ballet class (just look at those little cuties
). Ballet requires an enormous amount of discipline, especially to advance up the levels. It got me to thinking about how much discipline I have in my own life and how it reflects out in my mothering. I can use some work for sure, and I can definitely think of several areas of my life in which I wish to be more disciplined. But, I do have to say that the general act of being a mom requires discipline, in and of itself…my life is no longer my own! As a believer in Christ, my life is no longer my own either.
